“A party without cake is just a meeting.” – Julia Child. We love a good Cake Smash Session! Say hello to Jaclyn, Mark, and their little one, Merckli. They popped into the studio with a gift certificate they won. Coincidently, Merckli’s first birthday was right around the same time and we wanted to get messy! Here’s more on their fun downtown session with Robin.
Before we got down and dirty with the cake smash session, Robin took this cute family for a stroll around the beautiful downtown Flagstaff. Merckli is at the perfect age for exploring! We can tell that this little girl is going to be quite the adventurer when she grows up. We love being able to walk out the front door of the studio and capture these families in such picturesque areas that are waiting right around the corner.
Merckli loved being tossed into the air. Those smiles are to die for! Jaclyn also really wanted some pictures of Merckli on her dad’s shoulders. When you were a kid, didn’t you love that feeling? Merckli looks like she’s on top of the world on Mark’s shoulders. It was so much fun to watch her discover all of the things around her and be itching to explore. Jaclyn and Mark will have their hands full with this one!
Now, for the fun part! Kind of… Our cake smash sessions tend to get a little messy. However, to our surprise, Merckli didn’t want cake on the morning of her session! We wish *we* had that much restraint around a birthday cake! Either way, her cake and her outfit were too cute to mess up anyway.
